Commission Enquiry

A commissioned artwork by Gina Ward is a considered, collaborative process, one that results in a piece created specifically for you, your space, and the story you want to live with.

Gina’s commissioned works retain the same bold, mid century modern aesthetic, emotional depth, and refined palette found across her original collections.
Each piece is painted by hand in acrylic, with attention to form, tone, and presence.

Whether you are a private collector, interior designer, or purchasing a meaningful gift, commissions offer the opportunity to own a truly personal artwork, one that cannot be replicated.

To enquire about commissioning an artwork by Gina Ward, please complete the form below or email directly.

Gina accepts a limited number of commissions each year to ensure each piece receives the attention it deserves.

  • Commissioning an artwork allows you to:

    • Own a one of a kind original painting created exclusively for you.

    • Work directly with a contemporary Australian artist.

    • Tailor scale, colour balance, and mood to suit your interior, collection or gift.

    • Create a meaningful, lasting piece to mark a milestone, specific space, or moment.

  • 1. Initial Enquiry
Complete the commission enquiry form below with as much detail as possible. Please feel free to include inspiration, preferred size, colour considerations, and intended space. Or alternatively, email or phone me directly.

    2. Consultation
Discuss your vision, preferred size, colour palette, timeline and pricing.

    3. Proposal & Quote
You will receive a formal quote and a rough conceptual sketch, a clear outline including set size, estimated completion timeframe for approval.

    4. Creation
Once the deposit is received, I will begin the painting process. Updates are limited to maintain artistic integrity, though progress images will be shared at different stages of the painting.

    5. Completion & Delivery
Your artwork is professionally finished with UV varnish, signed with an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity then carefully packaged, and shipped to you.

  • Commission pricing varies depending on size, complexity, and timeframe.

A 50% non refundable deposit is required to secure your commission, with the remaining balance due prior to delivery.

  • Typical commission timeframes range from 2 - 4 months from the date the deposit is received.

If you have a specific deadline (such as a gift or installation date), please mention this and I will do my upmost to meet it.

  • I work with interior designers and stylists on residential and commercial commissions across Australia.

Trade enquiries are welcome, please include:

    • Custom sizing for specific spaces

    • Palette considerations to complement interiors

    • Timeline coordination for installations

  • All commissioned artworks are:

    • Professionally finished and sealed

    • Carefully packaged for safe transport

    • Shipped Australia wide and internationally

Complimentary shipping Australia and New Zealand wide.

  • Pricing is determined by size, complexity, and materials. Because commissions involve additional consultation time and bespoke design, they are typically priced at a 15-20% premium over existing gallery works.

  • All original paintings are sold unframed but arrive ‘ready to hang’ on stretched canvas with a wire attached. Professional framing (such as a Walnut or Tasmanian Oak float frame) can be arranged upon request for an additional fee.

  • Yes. While complimentary shipping is provided within Australia and New Zealand, we offer competitive worldwide shipping rates. Each piece is professionally boxed or crated and insured.

Fill out the enquiry form below to get the ball rolling on your new painting.

Commissioning an artwork is an act of trust. Each piece is created with care, intention, and respect for both the collector and the creative process.
